Airfresh wall paint uses light to naturally break down pollutants and odours. Available in white and tintable with Auro 350 Tinting Base.

Up to now, wall paints were expected to provide a purely visual improvement. Auro Airfresh 328 is part of a new generation of paint that can do much, much more! They deliver visible freshness and also use light to effectively disperse pollutants and odours and therefore create a healthy living environment.

The special combination of raw materials works as a catalyst, using a photocatylitic effect to break down odours and pollutants in the air into neutral substances.

The photocatalytic effect of Auro 328 Airfresh wallpaint is most effective with daylight and the effect also continues with artificial light. What is more, the dispersion effect does not reduce over time, the level of efficacy remains constant over the whole useful life of the paint. The photo-catalytic effect of Airfresh wall paint has been tested and confirmed by the Institute of Technical Chemistry in Hanover, Germany

This paint also breaks down formaldehyde! Testing at the Shanghai Insitute for Measuring and Testing Technology (SIMT) suggests that after 1 hour 90% of formaldehyde is broken down which increases to over 95% after 2 hours!

Like all living areas, rooms painted with Airfresh should be aired regularly. Air movement is needed to ensure that the odour particles to be dissipated come into contact with the wall paint.

Because of the high lime content in the paint we recommend wearing Safety Goggles while you apply it.

Note: This product is not suitable for application onto wood, plastic-based (acrylic) wall coatings, glossy coatings and synthetic materials or paints.

Natural products are neither odourless nor emission-free. The use of organic, natural and plant based ingredients means that allergy and asthma sufferers and people who are chemically sensitive are much more able to tolerate Auro products, however they may cause allergic reactions in some. How to prep walls for painting

See the 328 Technical Data Sheet for full details, however in brief:

Remove flaking and unstable paint. Fill any cracks with Auro 329 Natural Wall Filler.
Wash down and clean the wall with Auro 435 Natural Sugar Soap if necessary.
On high contrast substrates, you can prime walls with a "Mist" coat of either Auro 344 Lime Paint (thinned with max 20% water) or with AURO 301 Natural Plaster Primer.
Apply paint evenly with a brush roller or airless spray gun.
Auro 328 can be thinned up to 10% max of water if required.
1-3 coats are generally required.
Allow 24 hours between coats.
