High performance multifilament flock fibre which can be used as an alternative to animal hair.
Tried and tested in the field this flocked polypropylene fibre has given good results. The flocking process bonds smaller fibres onto the main fibres giving a larger surface area and making this an honest alternative to animal hair.
This fibre addition differs to many other synthetic products as the base fibre has undergone a “Flocking” process where additional smaller fibre particles are bonded onto its surface creating a greater surface contact area.
Addition rates vary according to application and can vary from 500g per tonne when used on high suction backgrounds to control shrinkage, up to as much as 2 kg per tonne of mixed mortar for rendering onto lath.
