Retired Cardigan architect, Martin Davies, author of Save The Last of The Magic, found a book of short stories he wrote 25 years ago while clearing out a cupboard. The author drew inspiration from years of experience working in the local building world in the late 1980s and early 1990s, resulting in a collection of stories entitled Bungalow Jim: Building Tales from West Wales.
There’s NEVER a dull moment in the building trade when Bungalow Jim is on a job. It’s no surprise that many of his customers know him better as Bungle Jim.
These fictional stories are set in the Eighties and Nighties when large changes were taking place to the towns and villages of West Wales and battalions of new bungalows invaded the countryside.
Bungalow Jim and his team are at the heart of the action, enjoying plenty of adventures with a touch of myth, history, and mystery.
