Keim Lotexan is suitable as a water repellent protective treatment, for mineral renders, fairfaced concrete, prefabricated concrete elements, exposed aggregate concrete, calcareous sandstone and fibre-cement boards. Keim Lotexan provides protection from water, acid rain and atmospheric pollution. Lotexan Data Sheet
Lotexan Coverage: 1.25 - 5m² per litre (2 Coats)
Keim Lotexan N is suitable as a water repellent protective treatment, in particular for uncoated, porous natural stone. It can be used to protect all common kinds of natural stone, whether alkaline or neutral, from water, acid rain and atmospheric pollution. Lotexan N Data Sheet
Lotexan N Coverage: 1.25 - 2.5m² per litre (2 Coats)
Keim Lotexan is a clear dust suppressant and water repellent siloxane based treatment for use on alkaline mineral substrates such as concrete, brickwork and new cementitious and lime based renders.
For mineral substrates having a lower alkalinity, such as weathered natural stone, Keim Lotexan N was developed as a dedicated generic variant.
When applied, Keim Lotexan/N soaks into the substrate and having a very small molecular size, it coats the pores of the mineral structure. A chemical reaction takes place converting the siloxane into a silicone layer on the pores of the substrate which provides water repellency while maintaining the vapour permeability.
Keim Lotexan is a beneficial alternative to silicone which has a much larger molecular size and tends to fill the pores rather than coating them, reducing breathability and leaving a shiny appearance on the surface.
