The highly realistic wooden barrel appearance of the Burgundy barrel effect water butt and its large 500 litre capacity has made this a very popular water butt since its release. It's a great way to collect rainwater for the garden.
5* Review:"Got this installed on a solid concrete plinth (covered with the same slates we have for the patio) a few weeks ago and so far it's working great! The plinth raises the butt enough so I can use the drain port at the bottom of the butt and still get a watering can underneath. I decided to screw the tap into the drain port instead of the other port that's about 35cm up on the side of the barrel (as shown in the standard pictures). That way I can make use of the full 500L
capacity and hopefully prevent silt building up in the bottom. I used one of the optional downpipe diverters with a built in filters, which is attached to the main roof downpipe. A couple of days of decent rain filled it up completely! Hoping it will last many years with little / no maintenance." -Jim - Verified Customer
