Applications
Tescon Vana airtight tape can be used on various surfaces, such as timber, OSB, plywood, MDF, hard plastics, and metal. It will also stick to different types of membranes, making it versatile for different construction needs.
You can use Tescon Primer RP or Tescon Sprimer beforehand to ensure good adhesion on certain surfaces, such as wood fibre insulation boards, concrete, plaster, or smooth masonry. It's important to do an adhesion test on painted or delicate surfaces.
How To Use
To prepare for application, remove dust, grime, grease, and silicone contaminants. Cut a length of tape that is easy to handle, or place your forearm through the tape roll for convenient access and unroll the tape as you go. Following this, detach the backing paper from the tape and align it across the middle of the materials to be joined. The tape has a permanent seal, so be careful when applying and take time to ensure accuracy.
Durability
It is water resistant and can be exposed to UV and weathering for up to 6 months before the external finish on the building is completed.
Tescon Vana uses a special solid acrylic glue that is resistant to changes in temperature and humidity. This means it can withstand extreme weather conditions and lasts longer without deteriorating like lower-quality tapes.
