THERMOFLOC VSD Membrane is an airtight barrier with a variable s.d. that functions as an effective vapour control layer, allowing water vapour to move in both directions according to conditions.
Application
THERMOFLOC VSD Membrane provides airtightness while effectively managing moisture. It can be used internally as an airtight barrier and vapour control layer for interior walls and roof linings. The membrane should only be applied on the warm side of the insulation.
The VSD membrane is reinforced for enhanced tear resistance and can be used with most insulation systems, including THERMOFLOC cellulose insulation.
THERMOFLOC VSD Membrane is attached to the supporting structure either by stapling or glueing. It must be installed with the printed side facing inward toward the room, meaning the fibrous side faces the thermal insulation.
When using THERMOFLOC blow-in insulation, the membrane can be installed in both longitudinal and transverse directions. If crosswise installation is necessary, adhesive tape points should be covered with continuous battening to prevent tape detachment due to blow-in pressure.
All areas to be sealed with Thermofloc tape or adhesive must be dry, free of grease, dust, and silicone. silicone
