Treatex Anti Slip Decking oil is a great solution for protecting wooden decking. It has been designed to reduce the risk of slipping on exterior wooden surfaces which are susceptible to becoming slippery due to the accumulation of moisture, moss, algae and lichens.
Suitable for use on most species of treated and untreated decking and timbers.
Treatex Anti Slip Decking Oil is manufactured on a base of natural sustainable raw materials including Sunflower oil, Soybean oil and is free of toxic substances.

Coverage
2.5L will cover approximately 17.5m²-25m² in one coat depending on the type of wood e.g. rough, sawn, planed.
Note: In grooved decking timber, consumption may double, due to the increase in surface area.

Usage
Suitable for: External use
Recommended timbers: Most species of treated and untreated decking and other timbers
Applications: Decking, steps and exterior wooden walkways.
Preparation
- Ensure the timber is dry and free from possible contaminates e.g. algae, grease, dirt, dust etc.
- The timber must have a moisture content below 18% and the ambient temperature must be greater than 8oC/<60% humidity during application and drying.
- Anti Slip Decking Oil has different effects on different surfaces therefore, we strongly advise a test application prior to starting the project.
Application
- Stir tin thoroughly, before and during use.
- Use a brush or roller to evenly apply Treatex Anti Slip Decking Oil, allowing approximately 100-165ml per m2.
- After approximately 8 - 12 hours (avoid moisture exposure during this time) the first coat can be overcoated if required.
- Apply the second coat with a brush or roller, again allowing roughly 100-165ml per m2.
- Leave for approximately 8-12 hours to dry.
- The surface can then be used with care after 24 hours of drying.
- Full hardness will be achieved after 10 days.

Insider Tips
- This product looks milky when first applied, however it dries clear.
- Wet brushes and rollers can be cleaned with soapy water
- Store tins in a cool and frost free place. Unopened tins will last for three years. Once tins are opened, transfer contents to a smaller airtight container.
