The Alana’s unique surface design makes this water butt planter really impress. The integrated planting space at the top is approximately 27cm deep, therefore allowing for gravel or stones at the base of the chamber for drainage (if required).
Available in two stunning colour choices: Slate and Grey Granite. The Grey Granite Alana has a gorgeous fleck in the colour which gives a beautiful finish.
All of the Alana Water Butts are made of UV stabilised plastic, so that the quality and finish will not fade or crack over time. These water butts have a high wall thickness (an average of 6mm) and all threads are in metal.
The Chrome tap is positioned at a height suitable to fill a watering can. The lower connection point can be used for drain down, to connect to a garden hose or to connect two water butts together.
We recommend using the 3P Filter Collector to connect this water butt to your downpipe. This filter is everything you need for collecting water from your downpipe and filter any debris before transferring the water into the tank (it also acts as an overflow when your water butt gets full).
There are two rain diverter connection areas (one on either side of the water butt). If you need to position the Alana further away from the downpipe, we recommend also purchasing a Push-Fit Long Link Kit.
Note: the Alana is a sealed tank and the planter section is not removable and does not have a drain hole, so you cannot access the inside of the tank to either tighten a back nut (when fitting a diverter) or for occasional cleaning. We therefore highly recommend a good filter (like the 3P Filter Collector) when connecting the water butt to your downpipe to ensure that leaves, twigs and debris are filter out before the tank.
